Arrive into Hobart and enjoy what remains of the day at leisure.

DAY 2:

MOUNT WELLINGTON / HOBART

Drive to the summit of Mount Wellington where you take in the spectacular views over Hobart and southern Tasmania before commencing your exhilarating bicycle ride down the winding Mount Wellington road.

This afternoon, enjoy a walking tour of Hobart, Tasmania’s capital city, taking in the 19th century waterfront warehouses which now house cafes, restaurants and studios, Salamanca Place and beautiful Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens. You will be shown an insider's view to this historical city.

DAYS 3 - 4:

HOBART / FREYCINET PENINSULA

This morning you are transferred to the Freycinet Peninsula, a drive of approx. three hours. Here you have the opportunity to partake in many activities to add greater depth and dimension to your stay. Take an educational quad biking excursion to the nearby stunning crystal white sands and through magnificent forests, or slip on your waders and learn the fascinating process of oyster and mussel cultivation at Freycinet Marine Farm. Spend time with the Lodge's chef or take an after dark wander through the woodlands to find some of the most bizarre and unusual animals on the planet. Learn your way around the southern sky and hear of its significance to modern scientists, historic explorers and indigenous people.

For the active set, take a walk to Wineglass Bay, regularly listed as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, venture out on an interpretive mountain bike ride, choose between a plethora of bush and beach tracks, or take out one of the sit-on-top kayaks for some fun on the water.
