ARKABA STATION Dating back to 1851, Arkaba Station is a classic Flinders building, with thick stone walls, deep shady verandahs and corrugated roofing all set against the backdrop of the rugged Elder Range. Four traditional style bedrooms are located in the homestead, each with an en suite bathroom and access to the verandah for relaxing in the heat of day. The rooms are air conditioned and have been designed with the homestead’s heritage in mind. With no telephones, televisions, minbars or the typical features of a hotel room to distract, the focus is on the experience. An open bar with a selection of beverages is available to guests and the resident chef provides traditional station cuisine.

SWAG CAMP - WALKING SAFARI Camps are set up in spectacular locations on the Arkaba Station property and provide the chance to sleep out under the stars in a swag. The swags are the deluxe version, with 100% cotton sheets, pillows, duvets for the cooler months and a thick mattress. At the end of the day, walkers are greeted by a camp that has been set up in advance, a delicious dinner and a good supply of wines and other beverages. |
